license, NOT an open-source license. By downloading, installing, copying,
referencing, or otherwise using RosRunner, its included components,
or its associated documentation and source files (the
"Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms below. Components with a
separate license remain subject to that license; see section 6.

1. Grant of License.
   Subject to a valid, paid commercial license agreement between you and the
   copyright holder, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license
   to use the Software in accordance with that agreement. Written evaluation
   or trial permission from the copyright holder applies only within its
   stated scope and duration. Except for such permission or an applicable
   prior license, no rights are granted without an agreement.

   The applicable agreement or purchase terms specify the licensed product,
   users or installations, duration, permitted use, update entitlement and
   support. This document does not promise a particular price, trial period,
   perpetual updates or support. A RosRunner application license does not
   by itself grant rights to redistribute its components or obtain source code.

2. Restrictions.

   this Software and provides no compatibility guarantee; see README.md.

6. Third-Party and Prior Licenses.
   Third-party components retain their own copyright notices, licenses and
   permissions. This license does not replace or restrict those terms.
   See NOTICE and the license texts in licenses/, also available from
   RosRunner's license information window. Separately licensed components
   in this repository, including Rosbox, retain their own licenses.
   Nothing in this document revokes rights validly granted under a prior
   applicable license. Mandatory statutory rights are not excluded.

components below retain their own licenses and copyright notices.

Runtime dependencies

The current RosRunner net10.0-windows dependency graph contains:

Self-contained Windows builds also redistribute the .NET runtime and
Windows Desktop runtime. Their upstream license texts and notices are
included in licenses/. The license inventory there identifies the source
versions and URLs; update it when changing dependencies or runtime packs.

The license texts are embedded in RosRunner and can be read offline by
clicking the version information in the status bar. They are also included
with the SDK NuGet packages. The full inventory is in licenses/README.md.

Build and test tooling
----------------------
The .NET SDK includes Source Link support. xunit, xunit.runner.visualstudio
and Microsoft.NET.Test.Sdk are test tooling, not RosRunner runtime
dependencies. Velopack's vpk packaging tool is build tooling; Velopack's
client and installer/update components are part of the desktop delivery.

Separately licensed projects
----------------------------
Rosbox has its own license in Rosbox/LICENSE. It is not a RosRunner runtime
dependency and its license is not replaced by the root commercial license.

MikroTik trademarks and interoperability references
--------------------------------------------------
This is an independent interoperability project. It is not affiliated with
or endorsed by MikroTik / SIA Mikrotīkls. "MikroTik", "RouterOS" and "Winbox"
are trademarks of their respective owners. MikroTik provides no
compatibility guarantee for this software.

Public protocol research and prior art informed the understanding of the
8291 wire format. These references are acknowledged here; they are not
redistributed as part of this product:
  - Tenable Research — Winbox protocol analysis (winbox_message.cpp/.hpp).
  - pywinbox — Python Winbox client.
  - winbox-terminal-protocol — terminal channel notes.

RouterOS firmware and proprietary .jg metadata are not bundled with this
product. Metadata obtained from a user's authorized device retains its
original rights and is used for interoperability.
